With over eight years of experience in the criminal justice field, Melissa currently serves as the Program Manager for the adult and juvenile electronic monitoring program in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. In this role, she oversees and manages electronic monitoring services aimed at enhancing public safety and supporting rehabilitation efforts within the community.

Melissa’s background includes a range of experiences, from law enforcement and loss prevention to specialized internships in automated traffic enforcement and exploratory research for a large metropolitan sheriff’s office. These diverse roles have provided her with a well-rounded understanding of criminal justice operations, as well as the importance of balancing accountability with rehabilitation.

Melissa holds a master’s degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology, which has further honed her analytical and leadership skills. Motivated by a deep commitment to public safety, giving back to the community, and helping others, Melissa is passionate about driving meaningful change in the criminal justice system.

Services Offered

As your SCRAM Systems Program Manager, I will serve as your primary point of contact, providing a comprehensive range of services and support to ensure successful implementation and ongoing use of SCRAM Systems technology. The support I will provide includes the following, and more:

Training & Education

  • Software & Hardware Training – Conducts onboarding and refresher training for agency staff on SCRAM hardware (e.g., SCRAM CAM, SCRAM GPS, SCRAM Remote Breath Pro) and software platforms.
  • New and Existing Employee Training – Ensures that all agency personnel are properly trained on the use of SCRAM equipment and software, providing updates as needed for new hires or system changes.
  • CLE/Seminars for Courts & Attorneys – Organizes and delivers Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses and seminars to educate judges, attorneys, and court personnel on SCRAM technology, its applications, and evidentiary use.

Ongoing Support & Troubleshooting

  • Dedicated Support Team Access – Serves as a direct contact for agencies, connecting them with SCRAM Systems’ technical support and customer service teams as needed.
  • Troubleshooting Technical Issues – Assists agencies in diagnosing and resolving software or hardware issues, ensuring minimal disruption to monitoring programs.
  • Best Practices & Compliance – Advises agencies on best practices for monitoring compliance, optimizing device usage, and improving program efficiency.

Program Management & Optimization

  • Regular Account Reviews – Works with agencies to assess program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement new strategies to enhance effectiveness.
  • Software Updates & Enhancements – Keeps agencies informed of new software features, system upgrades, and technological advancements.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting – Helps agencies interpret monitoring data, generate reports, and utilize insights for better decision-making.
