Deana’s Law passes committee hurdle, will go to Senate

Media Type: Print/Online

“Deana’s Law,” a package of reforms to Pennsylvania’s drunk-driving laws championed by state Sen. Tom Killion, R-9 of Middletown, is heading to the full Senate for a vote after moving through the Senate Transportation Committee.

“With committee approval, Senate Bill 773 is on track to be passed by the Senate before the first anniversary of Deana Eckman’s tragic death on February 16th,” said Killion in a release. “Deana was a warm, loving, generous woman murdered by an individual now convicted of six DUIs. This bill, named in her memory, will save lives.”
