National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP)

The National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP) is a national non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 1994 by pioneers from the first twelve Drug Courts in the nation. For over two decades, these specialty treatment courts—including Veterans Treatment Courts and DUI/DWI Courts—have led the charge towards a more humane, cost-effective justice system. By keeping drug-addicted offenders out of jail and in treatment Drug Courts have been proven to reduce drug abuse and crime while saving money.

American Probation & Parole Association (APPA)

The American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) is an international association composed of members from the United States, Canada, and other countries actively involved with pretrial, probation, parole and community-based corrections, in both criminal and juvenile justice arenas. APPA has grown to become the voice for thousands of pretrial, probation and parole practitioners and providers of services including line staff, supervisors and administrators from both the public and private sectors.

Federal Probation and Pretrial Officers Association (FPPOA)

FPPOA is the sole representative association dedicated exclusively for staff working in Federal Probation and Pretrial Services. The Association provides national leadership in the professional growth of probation and pretrial services. Working closely with the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, the Federal Judicial Center, the Bureau of Prisons, the Sentencing Commission and the Parole Commission, the FPPOA continues to promote professionalism within the federal criminal justice system.

Justice For Vets

Justice For Vets is a professional services division of the National Association of Drug Court Professionals. As the stewards of the Veterans Treatment Court movement, Justice for Vets works to keep veterans out of jail and connect them to the benefits and treatment they have earned; saving their lives, families, and futures, and saving tax dollars for the American public.

The National Association of Counties (NACo) unites America’s 3,069 county governments. Founded in 1935, NACo brings county officials together to advocate with a collective voice on national policy, exchange ideas and build new leadership skills, pursue transformational county solutions, enrich the public’s understanding of county government, and exercise exemplary leadership in public service.

The National Association of Pretrial Service Agencies’ (NAPSA) mission is to promote pretrial justice and public safety through rational pretrial decision making and practices informed by evidence. NAPSA’s core strategic approach is to provide evidence based standards and education to individuals and agencies.

National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL)

NCSL is committed to the success of all legislators and staff. NCSL works to improve the quality and effectiveness of state legislatures; promote policy innovation and communication among state legislatures; and ensure state legislatures a strong, cohesive voice in the federal system.

National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center (NLECTC)

Originally created in 1994 as a program of NIJ's Office of Science and Technology, the NLECTC System plays a crucial role in enabling NIJ to carry out its critical mission to assist state, local, tribal and federal law enforcement, corrections and other criminal justice agencies in addressing their technology needs and challenges.

The National Sheriffs' Association is a professional association dedicated to serving the Office of Sheriff and its affiliates through police education, police training, and general law enforcement information resources. Bartender Classes Could Prevent DUIs

The California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) announced that its Licensee Education on Alcohol and Drugs (LEAD) class is now available online and in-person. Available to California bartenders, alcohol sellers, and restaurant owners and employees, the free course educates participants on the different laws and regulations of alcohol sales.

Alcohol-sensing ankle monitors the latest tool against repeat DUI incidents in Lake County

With nearly 1,800 DUI arrests in 2016, Lake County has the one of the highest rates of drunk driving in Illinois. A new alcohol monitoring program is designed to keep repeat offenders sober, 24-hours a day.
