With the Memorial Day weekend fast approaching, many Americans will spend their long weekend under the warm sun, grilling hamburgers or hotdogs, hanging with friends, and possibly throwing back a few cold beers. We want to remind you that drinking and driving is not cool and to stay safe this holiday weekend.

We also want to share a few safety tips from our friends at MADD.

  1. Plan a safe way home if you do plan on drinking
  2. Wear your seatbelt, even if you are in the back seat
  3. Don’t call or text while driving
  4. Slow down as many families will be on the road ways possibly visiting friends and family
  5. Be aware of other drivers and watch out for those who may not have taken this list to heart

Many counties across the country are gearing up for the holiday traffic by increasing patrols and sobriety checkpoints. Stay safe this holiday weekend and don’t drink and drive.
