SCRAM CAM is designed to collect, transmit, and review alcohol monitoring data through a structured process.
Collection
The bracelet samples perspiration every 30 minutes to help monitor alcohol activity over time and distinguish consumption from environmental exposure.
Transfer
Testing data moves from the bracelet to the SCRAM Wireless Base Station, where it is stored and uploaded to SCRAM Optix for monitoring review.
Review
Generated alerts are reviewed by trained analysts using validated confirmation criteria before violations are surfaced.
SCIENCE OF DETECTION
After alcohol is consumed, most of it is processed by the body. A small amount leaves through the skin in moisture you may not see or feel, known as insensible perspiration, creating a measurable signal SCRAM CAM can monitor over time.
About 1% of consumed alcohol is excreted through the skin. SCRAM CAM tests that insensible perspiration using an electrochemical fuel cell, sampling every 30 minutes to help identify alcohol activity.
