
Chief Operating Officer - Vehicle Safety
Michael Travars serves as Chief Operating Officer for the Vehicle Safety business unit, overseeing LifeSafer’s portfolio of products, including Ignition Interlock (IID), Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA), and Portable Alcohol Monitoring (PAM). He is responsible for the full scope of the business unit, driving operational excellence, customer experience, business performance, and innovation across the organization.
Prior to his current role, Michael spent nearly a decade as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for LifeSafer, where he led the development of the company’s ignition interlock hardware platform and spearheaded its digital transformation. Under his leadership, LifeSafer evolved from a traditional, directory-driven business model to a technology-enabled organization supported by advanced software solutions, industry-leading reporting capabilities, customer relationship platforms, and operational management tools.
Michael brings extensive leadership experience across multiple industries, delivering technology-driven innovation and scalable solutions spanning human resources, payroll, healthcare, and communications. His background in building high-performing teams and advancing technology strategies has helped drive growth, efficiency, and customer-focused outcomes throughout his career.
Michael holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Grand Valley State University.
