Chris Linthwaite has served as Chief Executive Officer of SCRAM Systems since March 2023. He leads the company’s overall strategy and operations, driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence while advancing SCRAM’s mission of helping customers improve outcomes through technology and service. 

Chris brings more than two decades of leadership experience across life sciences, diagnostics, healthcare, and forensic technologies. Prior to joining SCRAM Systems, he served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Fluidigm, where he led the company through a period of transformation focused on revenue growth, product innovation, operational efficiency, and financial discipline. Under his leadership, Fluidigm strengthened its position as a pioneer in technologies supporting translational and clinical research in oncology, immunology, and cancer immunotherapy. 

Earlier in his career, Chris led the Genetic Sciences Division at Life Technologies and held roles in management consulting. He also co-founded a biomedical organization focused on commercializing emerging technologies. 

Chris earned an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in foreign affairs from the University of Virginia. He served as an armor officer in the U.S. Army, including deployment in NATO-led peacekeeping operations in Europe, and currently serves on the advisory boards of several private and nonprofit organizations.
